Review "One of the excellent qualities of this novel by the talented young writer Joyce Carol Oates is an unswerving fidelity to its theme...Miss Oates knows how to surround this hard tale with a hard atmosphere of sky, birds, wind and conversation, as these hard people drive like stock cars, battered but charged with power, at each other head-on." -- New York Times"Not only does it foreshadow her later work, it is one of the best novels since Flannery OConnor to show the link between violence and religion in American culture." -- The Modern Novel Details ISBN0062795716 Short Title WITH SHUDDERING FALL Pages 336 Language English ISBN-10 0062795716 ISBN-13 9780062795717 Format Paperback DEWEY 813.54 Subtitle A Novel Audience General UK Release Date 2018-03-13 Publisher HarperCollins Publishers Inc Place of Publication New York Country of Publication United States Imprint US Ecco Publisher US HarperCollins Imprint HarperCollins Publishers Author Joyce Carol 99tes Year 2023 Publication Date 2023-06-28 US Release Date 2023-06-28 We've got this At The Nile, if you're looking for it, we've got it.
