CD 1: WDR Big Band conducted by Vince Mendoza recorded live on November 11 2003 during the Leverkusener Jazztage at the Forum, Leverkusen in Germany. Featuring Brecker Brothers (Randy on trumpet and his late brother Michael on tenor sax) tunes with a rhythm section featuring Peter Ersking on drums, Will Lee on electric bass and the late great Jim Beard on piano and Synths as well as Marcio Doctor on percussion. CD 2: WDR Big Band recorded live at the Jazzschmiede in Dusseldorf, Germany on February 28 and at Stadtgarten in Cologne, Germany on February 29 2008. The rhythm section consists of Dave Weckl on drums and Mark Egan on electric bass! The tunes performed are all Bill Evans originals.
