Description: (Lactuca sativa) The grower's standard for leaf lettuces.  Vigorous plants produce large, loose leaf heads.  Slightly savoyed leaves have a beautiful green color and wavy, frilled margins.  Germinates best in cool temperatures and has a tendency to get bitter in heat. 30-50 days to harvest. 150 seeds/pkt. CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 1-2" apart, 1/8" deep in rows 18-24" apart. Under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 7-14 days. Gradually thin to one plant every 12”.  To maximize yield, harvest by cutting individual leaves from the plant, leaving the growing tip intact.
