Description: Preowned, this vintage hand crafted Persian Khatam treasure box (5.75” X 4” X 1.75”) is fully inlaid in a lovely gold, green, and rust geometric pattern. Box has a removable lid and rounded edges. Khatam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying — a version of marquetry — with wood and metal (often gold but can be brass or silver). The inlay can be on wood or bone. From my research, I believe this box is camel bone. Ships ground advantage USPS.
