Vtg Leon Levin GOLF Christmas Sweater Hand Loomed Bust 44 Plus Size Large

Description: A Leon Levin long sleeve, pullover, crewneck Sweater, 55% Ramie and 45% Cotton, assembled in Hong Kong and knit in China in a Size Large. No date but obtained at an estate sale and been in my possession since the late 1990s, This pre-owned long sleeve, crewneck, pullover Sweater features a knit in design of Christmas Stockings, Golf Clubs, Candy Canes and Teddy Bears. The neckline, bottom and sleeve ends are finished with ribbing. There are no shoulder pads. The sweater is a medium blue with dusty pink. It has those tiny pills that ramie gets after a washing but that is the only 'problem'. Pre-owned. Laundered. Very good condition. No holes, rips, stains or worn spots. Size Large: Bust (just below under arms): 44” Hem Opening: 36” Shoulder (seam to seam): 19” Sleeve (center back to opening): 32” Length (nap of neck to hem): 24” Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat. Compare the measurements to a garment you have that fits you well. The helpful Constance who's modeling the garment is 36" - 27" - 37" and is 14" from her nap to waist; she's about a size 12. This garment has been carefully laundered and dried in the North Carolina sun! Although care has been taken, since this garment is not new there may still be pills, loose threads or lint. When purchasing a vintage garment, or any garment, follow the measurements not the size. Size specifications have changed over the years and a vintage garment may have been altered to fit the original owner. Also, remember to leave ease between your personal measurements and the garment's. For example, a top that is 40" in the bust area will not fit a 40" bust...it will be tight. A 42" top will fit better. Also a vintage garment was designed and cut to follow the body silhouette of its time period. For the best fit, undergarments from the same time period are suggested. When purchasing a vintage garment please remember that it is old. I may have missed a fade or a flaw. I may have misjudged the year. I am happy to be corrected.
