All blades, Back Springs, Blade liners, Scale Pins and Bolsters are made of Carbon Steel (in my opinion) The GS Shield may be of Nickle Silver. The jigged pair of bone scales are made from the shin bones of bovine. The weight is 2.5 oz. , Cutting blades tip to the butt end is 5 5/8 inches, and that blade is 2 4/8 inches in length, Closed length is 3 4/8 inches. This is a nice example of a well made scout knife to add to ones collection, I will ship by insured USPS ground advantage.
