The yellow acrylic material is soft and features a satin type trim. Made in the United States. Package is manufacture sealed. It does have a slit or tear in the package where the Chatham Logo appears. I located this at a estate / moving sale. It had been stored in a closet for many yearsThe slit happened when I gently cleaned surface of the plastic packaging. I would consider this new old stock as it was never opened or used.
