Description: For sale is a beautiful and unusual rock collection. I bought this when I was a teenager at an auction in Troy NY. I'm seventy years old now. It was old when I got it. What makes it special is that someone labeled many of these rocks in a careful, calligraphic script, often with the state or province where the piece was collected. Some of the labels as you can see have worked loose but most are still affixed neatly to the specimen. I'm not a rock expert so I'm not the guy to tell you what each says. But if you're a rock collector, you'll know. Some of the pieces are extremely unusual. See the pictures, which are close to the actual color of the rocks. There are several fossils which I know are from Devonian era ocean floor formations. The box is sturdy. It'll be heavy so I'm asking a serious shipping charge, and I'll carefully wrap for shipping.
