Since I do not have a 100% confirmation on it's distribution - logically my 2 best theories are that this was either a promo handout during the release of the 1993 title in game stores, or this was an exclusive promo handed out during the 1993 CES (consumer electronic show) event. This pin is based off of the 93 Educational Mario game which actually has you playing Luigi as the main character, the MS-DOS version of the title is a point and click adventure, whilst the NES version has platforming game elements to it. You'd progress through the world, solve puzzle, figure out problems, etc all to find Mario! Pin is a circular design , with outer ring wording MARIO IS MISSING, pin center has Mario with finger pointing out - rear is plain. Pin is a light metal , with a smooth epoxy dome coating on the front.
