Vintage MCM MARTZ-MARSHALL STUDIOS-STONEWARE TABLE LAMP-LATE 1950'S-VG

Description: For sale is a handsome pottery MCM lamp...Gordon and Jane Martz of Marshall Studios designed this circa late 1950's...in very good condition. No shade or finial. From a local estate...see our eBay seller's list for more fresh finds. Our search of the original Marshall Studios catalogs finds this model to be M101-23-3. The catalog, the date given is no more specific than late 1950's, describes it as gloss white with clay appliques. These appliques are about 1-3/4" across and consist of a flattish disc with a spiral center having a pleated, pie-crust edge. Height of the pottery, a pleasing, well-proportioned gourd shape, is about 15". (The harp adds another 9".) The finish is glossy and the color is white with a gray cast to it. Incised Martz at the hole for the gray cord. We left in place the original felt on the underside. See all the pictures for the different views of the form, decoration, color and condition which is very good as noted. No chips, cracks or repairs. No scratches, discoloration or crazing.
