Vintage JEANNETTE clear pressed glass harp lyre & scroll pedestal CAKE STAND 40s

Description: Lovely pressed glass pedestal cake stand by Jeannette Glass Co. It is made of clear glass and features a textured top adorned with swirls and harps (or lyres). It even has a raised scalloped rim to keep the cake on the plate. The almost hobnail dots on the edge is lightly highlighted in gold paint. So very early mid-century! It is a good size -- it is 10 inches across, 4 5/8 inches tall off the tabletop, and the base is 4 inches across. The pedestal and the base is a cool combination of clear smooth glass and textured glass with swirls on it. Very, very pretty. It's in good vintage (almost antique -- this is from the 1940's) condition. There are no chips or cracks from use. However, there is a funny shallow chip on the scalloped rim that looks like it was done at the time of manufacturing because the gold paint is on top of the chip (?). Not sure how that happened -- if the chip was missed by the inspectors and finished? Keep in mind most of the gold paint has worn away. **See pictures for details.
