Description: Vintage J.B. Deere Cedarcraft USA, Souvenir, “Hope Chest”, Cedar Coin Bank Adorable blast from the past! Souvenirs from your childhood road trips with the family!!! This wooden/cedar coin bank has no opening to remove the saved money (see pics). Decorated in gold colored trim along the top with words “Hope Chest” on the top. The words, “Vacayville, Calif.”, are written on the front (see pics). The manufacturer’s name, “J.B. Deere Cedarcraft USA”, is stamped on the bottom (see pics). Some History: J.B. Deere Cedarcraft was a family-owned business based in Lake Ozark, Missouri. They were in business since the mid-1940s in the tourist trade (1944-1977), and made a wide variety of cedar souvenirs, hiring sales representatives to market them to variety stories and souvenir shops. The coin bank is in vintage condition with very minor scuffs along the wood. It looks like someone attempted to open the coin slot with a screwdriver or tool (minor dents in metal-see pics). See pics for condition/approximate size. If additional pics needed/please ask. Buyer pays shipping.
