Description: Late 1930's Holy Bible covered with an elaborately embossed tin jacket. This is a King James Version - International Press bible. The words of Jesus are printed in red. There are color and black and white illustrations and maps of the Holy land in the back. Some pages are yellowed with age. There are some markings of scripture by the owners. Some scratches and dents to the cover (pictured). But the cover is very much intact. There is a 1937 inscription on the cover page. Binding is in very good condition. It has been on one family since its 1937 inscription to Alma May Lindahl. Ruben Spong was Reverand of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osage City, Kansas from 1936 to 1941. The church was organized on April 27, 1870 by Dr. S.P.A. Lindahl. The bible was donated to us by a Mr. Leroy Lindahl.
