Description: Vintage Herter's balsa wood Red Head duck decoy. This decoy looks like Herter;s"Perfect Model"from the early days but I cannot be certain on that. Decoy is in good condition with signs from use and age and has definitely been used in a hunting spread in the marsh or on the river. Decoy has paint loss throughout and edge wear as well. The yellow glass eyes may not be original and would be easy to replace with Herter's glass decoy eyes if desired. Decoy is measures about 14" and has the wooden keel.
