Description: Gilded metal statue of a resting Chinese horse with its legs tucked underneath it and head turned to its left. The sculpture is a copy of a Tang Dynasty piece from a 1989 exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and was commissioned by MMA to support the exhibition. Can be used as a paperweight or a scroll weight. Stamped on the bottom with a copyright symbol and MMA 1989. Made of solid pewter plated with 22 Karat gold, overall in great vintage condition, pleasantly heavy. Length 3 1/8 inches, height 2 1/4 inches.
