Description: This listing is for a Vintage late 1950's Gibson (Lifton) 5 Latch Les Paul Electric Guitar Case. This case is from the late 1950's and originally for a Les Paul Standard (Burst) or a Les Paul TV Special or Junior. The case is in rough cosmetic shape but is still fully functional.The case is a 5 latch case and all the latches are intact and functional but they do show quite heavy wear. The handle is obviously not original. The exterior of the case shows very heavy wear with lots of nicks, dings and heavy scratches. The back of the case has been painted black and there some sticker remnants on the top. The edges of the case has been glued up in a few places, especially around the back edges and also taped in a few places, see pics. There is also some wear and damage around the back hinges, again see pics. The interior of the case shows some wear but is in overall good condition. There is staining and wear to the interior pink fabric. The neck rest and pocket are all intact.Despite the wear this is a rare and valuable case if you are looking for an original case for your vintage 1950's Les Paul.Please look at the pictures and message with questions.
