Description: 1940's Vintage Furst-McNess New Yorker 2644 Cologne for Women. Art Deco Bottle. Black Plastic Cap/Lid. Hard to find collectible. Cologne has mainly evaporated and but there is a little of it left in the bottom of the bottle. When the top is removed, the fragrance of the cologne is still there.....it is a wonderful fragrance. The black label with gold lettering is faded and worn. The McNess name, New Yorker letters, are plain, the numbers 2644 are faint and worn, Cologne is distinct, the 1/2 fl. oz. is very light, as is the Furst-Mcness CO. Freeport, Illinois. There is also wear around the edges of the label. The bottle in pictures appears to be scratched but isn't, I believe it to be on the inside from the cologne itself. Bottle has not chips, are cracks. Cap is in excellent condition, no cracks, no chips, etc. This cologne was discontinued many years ago. With all vintage items there are various degrees of wear, oxidation or other small imperfections that all add to the ambiance of the piece. Very good piece for a collection. Bottom of the bottle numbers appear to be I.D.-92542.Non-smoker's home. Original Owner's daughter. Dimensions: (Approximately)H: 2-1/4"W: 1-1/4"D: 5/8"
