Description: Item Description: FESS PARKER/DANIEL BOONE METAL LUNCHBOX AND METAL/GLASS THERMOS from King Seeley Thermos 1965. This extremely rare R-7 western kit features Fess Parker as Daniel Boone that aired for 165 episodes from 1964 to 1970 on NBC. This popular TV action-adventure show co-starred Ed Ames as Mingo – Boone’s Cherokee friend for the first four seasons. Another masterpiece from KST freelancer Nick LoBianco (of Yellow Submarine and Get Smart fame – to name a few) with finishing art by T. Oughten – this kit depicts scenes from the movie with Dan’l fightin’ Indians and Bears with great use of color and characters. KST introduced the shortened thermos this year. A classic example of 60’s frontier Americana at its best! Condition: Box and thermos are complete and correct (including original wire thermos holder). Lithographed box panels on front and back are clean and glossy throughout - with a few very light scratches and rubbings. Light rim wear on front - with no corner dents or dimples. Metal hardware is nice and shiny. Inside of box is clean overall with a few rubbings - with no prior owner markings – in overall Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition. Thermos lithos are clean throughout with no dents or dimples, no rattles when shaken with nice shiny bottom – in overall strong Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition.
