Description: This vintage Austrian weskit (vest) from 1909 is in amazing condition. The navy blue velvet has no holes or bare spots. The inside fabric feels like cotton and has some stains that are undoubtedly from age and use.. A beautiful addition to any collector's wardrobe. The vest features a classic design for the time period and was worn as a traditional garment in Eastern Europe. The lace trim was replaced in 1967. It appears as though the string through the eyelets may also have been replaced . The eyelets are original, with the third one on the left side missing, and the fifth one on the left side is lose. The vest measures approximately 20 inches across the front and approximately 13 inches across the back. The shoulder to bottom of lace trim measures approximately 13 1/4 inches on the back and approximately 16 1/2 inches on the front. The arm opening measures approximately 7 3/4 inches long and approximately 8 inches wide. Comes from smoke-free and pet free home.
