Description: Very rare salt and pepper shaker set of a cowboy and his sleeping horse made in circa 1940s-1950s. This set has fantastic styling and colors and the modeling on it is really exquisite!! Cowboy has his signature black western hat and very well detailed cute face, and wears a neckerchief, is sitting down next to his horse. The horse is laying down and has eyes closed and ears back as if sleeping. Set measures approx.. 3 ½” inches and is in phenomenal condition with no chips, no cracks, minimal paint wear, the kind of modeling common with the era with over-paint in areas, tiny lumps, and bumps under the glaze on rim of hat, just want to point this out, and I see nothing else. Cowboy retains his stopper, and both are marked Japan on bottom. Really nice, rare set!! Glares are from camera.
