Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list!This listing is for a vintage Conn 424N Bb soprano clarinet. The serial number is B358493L. This is a wood, pro level instrument. This instrument is being sold as is for repair/restoration, or parts. I am able to play it top to bottom, but it's not really in proper playing condition. It would need a full overhaul (new pads, corks, and possibly additional repairs) to be considered in good playing condition.This instrument is in overall very good physical condition. There seems to be some minor damage on the interior of the barrel (see last picture). It's almost like a chip on the inner bore with a short crack extending from it. It's very odd to be honest. The crack is not visible on the exterior. I don't see any other cracks, but there is a possible past crack repair on the lower joint. There is a circular indentation that could be from a pinning repair, or maybe it is just a random gouge in the wood. I only see one such mark, and usually there would be multiple ones for a pin repair, so who knows. There are no chips to the tenons or tone holes. The tenon and bell rings are all tight. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly when released. The nickel finish is fully intact, but it has dulled significantly with age. It should polish back to a nice luster if you so desired. The pads are old and stained, so they should be replaced, along with key and tenon corks. It will also need a good cleaning and oiling of the wood. This instrument comes in a vintage hardshell case. The case is solid, but well-worn both inside and out. The trim on the exterior is loose but could easily be glued down again.There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
