What we have here is a vintage black Abu Garcia Cardinal C4 spinning reel manufactured in the 70’s in Japan. 50’s/60’s, made in Japan. France. The quality of this reels is very high, equal to those reels made in Sweden. The reel is in very good condition and functions as it should including being clean and lubricated. The reel features a black all-aluminum frame and rotor, and a graphite spool. It has a full bail, front reel drag, hi speed BB drive, free spool/anti-reverse, a folding handle with a black paddle handle knob that turns freely. Its gear ratio is 5.1:1, and line capacity of approximately 8/230 10/200 12/160 mono. The reel weighs 10.3 oz. There are minor signs of use and finish loss. This reel makes for an excellent collectible but can be fished with for many years with proper care. S&H is at the 2 lb. insured rate.
