Description: VINTAGE 1980's DISTRESSED CANADIAN CARIBOU LEATHER LAPTOP BRIEFCASE BAG R$1198 Our bags are the antidote for the poly lined synthetic leather bags being produced for even really good upscale companies in China. Most of our bags are full-grain leather. Artisan craft, authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high grade belts for straps reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps and half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged life-style. Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age related wear. My philosophy and writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. So please look at the pictures and email me with any questions. That said, here is my description. My Modifications: I have taken the time to detail this case and recondition the leather. I have added a Mooseskin Handle Wrap! The original thin wrap had worn away and the new owner will truly appreciate the feel of this wonderful Mooseskin every time they pick up their briefcase. I have also used two pieces of Mooseskin and pounded copper rivets to reinforce that handle to guarantee this handle will last for years. If you have more than one briefcase, the handle wrap is removable with the two Antique Brass snaps so you can use it on multiple cases. What I like about this case: Caribou leather; really? Just try to find one made of Caribou in the 21st century. Pretty wild. Also the wonderful distressed leather corners and the nice weathered patina. This bag has been beautifully distressed by real people over many years; not by machines like many companies do these days. It got distressed by being loved till it got to me. It will have to, in the words of James Bond, "Die Another Day" :-) People are flocking back to the traditional hard-side cases because they are really easy to pack and it is easy to get access to all your gear by just putting it on your lap and popping the spring loaded combination locks open. This briefcase has the true vintage look which is so popular today. It says without saying anything that you like quality and are not afraid to be different. I imagine a business professional who appreciates the fantastic vintage look commuting on the Subway or Light-rail just popping in their lap, then "Thwack...Thwack the combination locks open, and then flipping open their MacBook 15 inch laptop and writing their next masterpiece all on the way to work.
