Vintage 1950's 50s STRAPLESS White Silver Tulle Lace Prom Party Wedding Dress

Description: Description An absolutely drop dead gorgeous strapless 1950’s prom dress in a breathtaking confection of off white and silver metallic tulle, lace and taffeta. The perfect dress with which to turn heads at the next prom season ! This gown has fairy princess written all over it. It would also make a sensational wedding gown. The color is soft and romantic and the metallic lace accent is simply stunning. When the silver thread catches the light it is iridescent. No maker’s label remains but this dress appears to have been professionally made. No fabric contents label but this is likely a synthetic blend. Note the special details on this amazing dress – strapless boned bodice with sweetheart neckline, asymmetrical bodice treatment with one side in tufted tulle and the other in pleated diagonal tulle, and of course the incredibly full tulle skirt. There are three layers to this skirt – a white satin acetate lining, a middle tiered layer of white tulle to give the skirt additional volume, topped by an outer layer of tulle trimmed in metallic silver thread. This dress closes down the side with a hidden metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in white satin acetate. The dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.No vintage size label, so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is a small size that would likely best fit a modern size 2 or 4. Measurements Bust – 32-33” Waist – 24-25” Hips – full Length – 41.5” Torso length – 10.5” (strapless) Skirt length (waist to hem) - 31” Condition This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No stains or discoloration and underarms are clean. The tulle and lace are still crisp. Only a few small flaws to note. There are a few tiny breaks in the outer tulle skirt and a few small repairs. These are inconspicuous and noticed only on close inspection. They do not detract from the appearance and are mentioned only for accuracy.
