Description: Please email with any questions. 4 3/4" by 4" and 2 1/4" high handmade walnut box with a little brass dachshund mounted on the lid. From a Georgia estate, it was found inside a trunk with other boxes that appear to be handmade too. Felt on the bottom to protect your furniture, mirror inside the lid and a photo of tropical flowers under glass in the bottom of the box. The photo looks it was taken from the pages of an old magazine. The mirror has some spots on it. The finish on the exterior has some wear- particularly where someone spun the dog around and his tail tip made a circular scratch. A few nicks elsewhere. The solid wood, mirror and piece of glass makes this heavy for its size.
