Description: A vintage green mark Lenox porcelain decanter with a hand painted portrait by the artist W. H. Morley. This is a very interesting and unique piece. A quick google search turns up that the Forst family had roots in the Trenton, New Jersey, area. The decanter is approximately 9.75 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no flea bites, there is a tiny bubble in the glaze (it was made like this), and a few spots of age-discoloration to the gold at the rim. The stopper is marked STERLING and is slightly bent at the bottom rim, and there are some losses to the cork and the cork has dried out over time and no longer makes a snug seal. Green Lenox mark, artist signature, titled and dated as shown. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking! Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
