It is designed to fill the same close quarter role as a red dot, without being reliant on batteries. Unlike a red dot, this is astigmatism friendly. Although not needed for operation, the sight can illuminate for the odd times, it is too dark out to see the etched reticle. The Paragon x1 uses a circle-dot reticle. It comes with a spacer mount to fit it to two potential centerline heights based on the users preference. This scope is very light and small, weighing only 225g and measuring 3" in length.
