The manual is different from the 6000A . 1. The bias circuit is completely different with new instructions how to set the bias of tube under test. The bias is set by reading the panel meter with 2 ranges this is more accurate and with provides more precision, on the 6000, 6000A version it set by turning bias pot with the readings on the collar of the bias pot. ( No reading of meter). 2. The 6000B is a SOLID STATE design, no tubes in rectifier circuit. 3. The tubes sockets are different, 4. The meter is different, it now includes a bias volts range. 5. There is no transistor checking with the 6000B. 6. The schematic is different. 7. The Roll Chart is gone. The tube test data is now in book form. The main advantage of 6000B version is no calibration is needed, only setting the LINE voltage. The tester remains in calibration as long as all resister values are within tolerance and if there not replace the bad resistors. This is a huge difference from the 6000 6000A versions. The True 6000B schematic is 11 x17 which is clear and easy to read. *** also the manual is NOT a scanned copy*** The 6000B tester is much better tester and offers better presision and reliability than the previous models, so if you see one for sale buy it.
