Description: For sale here is a great looking US WW2 USN Navy Sleeve Specialty Rating Patch in Gold Bullion on Black Felt. These have a gold bullion Rating that features two oak leaves with a central acorn. These may be medical or supply related, but that is just a guess. This is for a matched pair. The rating lying on top is just for example. You will get the two in the paper wrapping. These are rather large pieces of soft black wool felt with a small bullion hand embroidered specialty rating. I assume these could be added to Officer's sleeve cuffs or to an enlisted Petty Officer rates. The felt measures approximately 6" by 3", and there is some variance in felt size between the two. Obviously, these are unused, but the bullion does show some light toning from age. This is a nice hard to find set for your collection.
