Disclaimers/small-print/ramblings/etc. I am not a professional book-seller - I am someone who has collected books for many a year, and periodically decides to sell some of them off to free up shelf-space. Descriptions/Grading of books: I generally use the standard terms made famous by the now-defunct AB Bookman's Weekly. Grading the condition of anything is of course by definition highly subjective. I do my best to describe any defects and include photos as appropriate. No one has had cause to complain in the 20+ years I have been active on eBay, and my feedback frequently mentions the accuracy of my descriptions. My goal for every transaction here is a positive experience for both seller and buyer. Unsolicited offers: If one of my listings says I will accept offers on that item, then please feel free to make one. If not, please don?t. Packing: I pack books for shipment the same way I?d want anyone sending me a book to pack it ? I NEVER use padded mailers/envelopes or use newspaper etc. for filler. If you look at my feedback, you?ll see a lot of comments along the line of, ?very well-packed? ? to date, no book I have shipped has ever gotten damaged in transit, and I look to keep that record intact. I use high-quality bubble-wrap and tape and biodegradable packing peanuts (which costs a lot more than the standard Styrofoam peanuts) ? the only time I use Styrofoam as fill is when I recycle it from a package someone sent to me, which seems better than throwing it out. Shipping: For years I defaulted to USPS Media Mail - it IS a bargain - and I still offer it for most books I list, but be advised some people are reporting unusual delays with Media Mail of late. I of course have no control over the ultimate delivery time once it ships. I have been recently been offering FedEx Ground as an option and it?s gone well. FYI eBay discounts FedEx 2-day highly enough to make the difference between FedEx Ground and 2-Day small, so am considering offering FedEx 2-day as a regular option. For books of a significant dollar value, I do not offer Media Mail as a shipping option. International shipping: Sorry, no.
