Description: Antique UNGER BROS. ART NOUVEAU STERLING SILVER HAND MIRROR EVANGELINE STUNNING! Unger Bros.’ ultimate Art Nouveau maiden pattern featuring the hauntingly beautiful Evangeline done in high repousse. She’s absolutely breathtaking and the UB workmanship is incomparable. The mirror is in overall very fine antique condition and presents absolutely wonderfully, with a few issues to mention. There are some dings and dents to the edges, as to be expected from a utilitarian item approximately 125 years old. The images follow the edges around for you to see. There are the smallest shallow indents to the front at the top that are hard to capture but you can see them if you scrutinize image 13. A few of the flowers above and to the right of Evangeline’s face have losses due to overzealous polishing. Image 13 shows them best. The beveled mirror is in great shape. Wonderful warm patina that all collectors desire. The UB markings are faint but you can see them in image 8. I tend to be picky about flaws in my descriptions so the buyer will not be surprised but truthfully the mirror is magnificent.
