Description: Two ancient Judaean bronze prutahs (or widow's mites in some cases).First coin is from Hasmonean period (not sure if Hyrcanus or Jannaeus, but would have been minted prior to Herod the Great and after the Seleucids allowed Jerusalem to mint their own coins around 130 BC. This could have been a Widow's mite mentioned in the Bible. Second coin is during the time of the Roman governors and was likely minted between 9 and 12 AD (during the reign of Augustus). These would have been minted and circulated during the time of Jesus. The date is not exactly visible, so speculating that this is the more common Marcus Ambibulus (Coponius made a similar coin around 6 AD). These coins would have been minted in Jerusalem or Caesarea Maritima. Both are interesting historical and Biblically related coins, however they are not in the best shape. Photos aren't the best either. Ship to US Only
