TISSOT SIDERAL 784 Automatic MVMT Date Fiberglass Watch 1970

Description: Tissot Sideral Vintage 1970s “UFO” 17 Jewel Men's Watch Swiss Tissot 784 Movement 3 o’clock Date Indicator Automatic/Self-Winding Working - Needs Regulation (runs fast) This is a rare Tissot Sidereal 17 Jewel automatic watch from the 1970s. Its brown and yellow color scheme is very, very 1970s, and it is very hard to find one with a silver colored bezel; with those colors, they usually come with a gold colored bezel. The movement works when shaken (see pictures), but the watch runs fast, at least a few minutes an hour the last time I checked. There is no external 2481/2571 regulator, making it a 784 movement. Access to the movement is through the top of the watch, so regulation should be done by a professional or an experienced collector. The case and crystal are in great shape. The only blemishes are on the bezel, which is plastic like the rest of the case. There are scratches and the bezel by the crown has been rubbed a bit smooth (see pictures). The dial of the watch is a brown with white baton indices for hours and marks for minutes/seconds. The second hand is orange. By the 12 o'clock baton are the TISSOT logo/name and SWISS stamped in white. At 3 o’clock is the date indicator. Above 6 o’clock it is stamped SIDERAL and AUTOMATIC in white. It has its original crown. It has a monocoque case. I am not a watchmaker, but I have tested the watch and observed it running (see pictures). I cannot guarantee perfect time on a vintage watch, and this one, as mentioned, runs fast.
