But, when eventually needed, rebuild kits replace all the parts in the hookah dive compressor's upper head area, subjected to normal wear and the hostile marine environment. Heads can be rebuilt in 30-40 minutes and with a few common hand tools. Be sure to keep an air compressor rebuild kit aboard.Tools Required: T-25 Torx screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, Adjustable wrenchCOMPRESSOR REBUILD KIT TG-175H, TG-180H, TG-250H, TG-275H, TG-280H, TG-402H CAUTION: Improper assembly or use of damaged parts may lead to premature failure. To avoid frequent repairs follow the recommended assembly procedures. NOTE: Before you begin, read these instructions thoroughly. Gather the necessary tools. Tools Required: T-25 Torx screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, Adjustable wrench WARNING: Drain compressed air from the tanks before disassembly. Allow engine and compressor to cool before disassembly. PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING by removing spark plug wire when servicing engine or compressor HEAD DISASSEMBLY HEAD HEAD O RING VALVEPLATE SLEEVE O RING HOUSING STEP 1. Loosen the four head screws and remove the head and valve plate from the compressor housing. STEP 2. Loosen and remove the hex fi tting of the hose assembly at the control valve (3/4ā hex). This is not necessary to TG-275ās (twin versions). REPLACING PISTON CUP AND SLEEVE PISTON PISTON CUP PISTON CUP RETAINER PISTON SLEEVE SCREW STEP 3. Remove the cylinder sleeve by pulling it from the connecting rod. STEP 4. Loosen and remove the screw in the center of the piston. Remove piston cup retainer and old piston cup. STEP 5. Assemble new piston cup with supplied screw. Tighten to 60 in-lbs. SCREW MUST BE TIGHT. STEP 6. Carefully slip the new sleeve over the piston cup and into the groove in the housing. You may have to squeeze the cup to get it on. Be careful not to fold over, cut or damage the cup while assembling the cylinder sleeve. SERVICING THE VALVEPLATE HEAD O RING FLAPPER VALVES VALVE PLATE SLEEVE O RING SCREW FLAPPER VALVE RETAINER STEP 7. Loosen and remove the valve screws on the valve plate. Remove the flapper valves and valve retainers. Inspect and clean the valve port holes. Reassemble the valves and retainer as shown. Tighten screws to 15 in- lbs. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN - YOU WILL STRIP THE THREADS. STEP 8. Remove the old O-rings from the valve plate. Replace with new O-rings in the grooves on the valve plate. STEP 9. Assemble valve plate and head. Install the four head screws (port āEā on head should be nearest the engine). Reconnect the hose. REPLACING FILTER ELEMENT FILTER BODY FILTER ELEMENT FILTER CAP STEP 10. Remove filter cap by prying the tabs on the side of the filter body. Replace foam filter element. Snap the filter cap to the filter body.
