Description: This listing is for a very old dictionary -- The Winston Dictionary was originally written in 1926 and was republished another 19 times prior to this 1947 College Edition (which is what we are presenting). The outside cover of this book is in decent condition for the age and amount of use this book must have received throughout the years. There is the typical wear and tear in the form of rounded or frayed corners. The cover shows a slight amount of fading due to oxygen and sun exposure throughout the years. The inside front cover page has an old price inscription in the upper right corner (in Pencil). I have found no further evidence of any marking, writing, or highlighting throughout the book. If you were to find some it would be light and small nothing giving Marr to the legibility. The Index Notches are still in great condition as well as the remainder of page edgings. No water or mold damage. The discoloration of a few of the pages leads to the assumption of the first stages off antiquing, without any foxing. There is a slight pull in the binding due to size of the book, giving way to a small amount of binding separation. There are no ripped, torn or missing pages. All known damage has been included within the photographs, if you need a further explanation or more photos do not hesitate to ask.
