Description: Descriptions: Lot of 4 Thompson grapevine cuttings. If you plant them soon after receiving them, new shoots normally start to show up in about 4 weeks. If you are in a cold region, you might want to start them in a pot indoor. Plant them in the yard after the last frost in the spring. Condition:Healthy and easy to grow. They are 10" to 11" in length, around 1/4" in thickness Variety:Thompson green table grapes. After the grapes turn yellowish on the vine, they turn into almost candy sweet. It grows well in our zone 8 area. Each year, we harvest a lot of round/oval shape, seedless table grapes from this vine. We heard that the farmers spray Gibberellic Acid hormone to increase the grape size, but we never tried it. The smaller size grapes do not bother us, as long as they are very sweet. Every year, these green grapes always ripe one or two months earlier than the crimson grapes (another seedless variety we also sell). In between these varieties, we have almost 5 months of endless fresh grapes from our own yard. When we have extra grapes that we can not consume right away, we dry them under the sun to make home made raisins. We love to share these wonderful vines with you. Details:Each cutting we ship has a minimum of 2 nodes. New roots and new branches normally grow from these nodes. We grow a lot of new vines from these cuttings each year. If conditions are right, you should be able to taste a few of these grapes next year. It takes another year or two for them to become full grown. They will then produce heavy crops for years to come. We also offer bareroot vines, which saves you one or two years of waiting time. If in season and available, you can find them by clicking here Please Note:After receiving of them, you might want to soak the cuttings in fresh water for a few hours before planting. To plant them, just make sure the flat end is on the top, the pointy (45° cutting) end is in the soil. Leave at least one node above the ground. New leaves should show up in a few weeks. After a few months of growth, you can cut off the dried out section above the top node. The energy/nutrients stored in that section has helped the growth of the new roots/branches.
