Description: Mr. Struck designed a simple belt drive mini bull dozer and in May 1967 submitted it to "Popular Science" (See the vintage article pictured). As interest increased he offered plans and eventually offered kits and finally offered a wide range of operational earth moving equipment. This unit was built to the exact specifications in my machine shop from a set of his plans. The track chain and large drive sprocket system were improved over the years and I upgraded the drive sprocket design and purchased from Struck the drive chain, which the track pads are welded to. I also have a new Predator 8 hp engine and used all new pulleys, belts, shafts, bearings. This design used all belt drive system for forward and reverse motion, controlled by the drive levers. Allowing for it to turn within its own length by one track moving forward and the other moving in reverse. The Dozer has a functional clam shell bucket design, which allows for actually scooping up and transferring any material needing moved. This is an all manual system, a manual lever on the right side of the seat raises and lowers the bucket -scoop, and a manual handle on the bucket is pulled to open and distribute the load or dump it. There is no electrical system. It is pull start on the engine only. It is painted inside the body black and outside red, preventing rusting. I have an almost complete set of replacement track pads, (I believe I am a few short from a complete set). Most of what you find of this older design are complete rusted out dilapidated kits that have been parked outside in the rain. This is effectively a brand NEW Machine!
