Description: SPANIEL Dog Black and White Figural Vintage Hand Painted Pottery Figurine This vintage spaniel dog figurine is preowned and is in good and acceptable condition. Conditional issues are light surface scratching, some crazing and there are some manufacturing defects in the paint. This dog is hand painted, a little bit of airbrush too and is finished with a shiny glaze. There are some spots of white on the dog when with first glance look like chips but they are under the glaze so it would appear the darker paint was missed and then the item had a final glazing which clear coated the areas that were missed. So, most of the white spots in the photos are glazed over porcelain and are not chips. The dog feels smooth when he is petted. With that said, a few of the tiny spots may be a small chip(s) but it cannot be felt with the finger. This item is small and measures approximately 3.75" tall x 1.75" wide and is 1.75" long (the sides). It is not marked but we are confident this was made in Japan and is circa 1960-1979, mid to late century.
