Description: Scarce Antique Lacy Glass "Sheaf of Wheat" Flint Glass Cup Plate, LR-41, New England origin, c. 1828-1832. This lacy glass cup plate is one of the earliest of the flint lacy glass type and it is heavy and thick. The plate is a very rare wheat sheaf cup plate and it is molded with thick glass. This has a diamond and flower petal design to the center, surrounded by diamonds, with sheafs of wheat in scallops around the rim. This pattern is Lee-Rose #41 and it is listed as scarce in Ruth Webb Lee's book. I offer this scarce lacy glass cup plate here with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The cup plate is 9/16" thick x 3 3/16" Dia. CONDITION: The condition is very good with minor rim nicks, otherwise there is minimal roughness to the surface. There are also straw marks, bubbles, sand and other imperfections in the glass typical of glassware from this very early period.
