Royal Flying Corp WW I Ace Thomas Rose 11 Aerial Victories Test Pilot Autograph

Description: Thomas Rose [1895 1968] was a World War I British fighter pilot who was credited with [11] eleven aerial victories. Rose joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and was posted to No. 64 Squadron and saw combat at the Battle of Cambrai and promoted to deputy flight commander. Rose completed the war with 11 aerial victories, and he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war he served as flight commander with No.43 Squadron of the RAF and retired in 1927. In the 1930's he was a prominent test pilot and race pilot who won the King's Cup Air Race in 1935 and 1939 to 1945. Listed for auction is the autograph of Thomas Rose signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''Happy Landings Tom Rose 1938'' in black fountain pen and the card measures 5.00 x 3.00 inches. The card is in fine condition and will be accompanied with its original transmittal envelope. The autograph is authentic, rare to obtain and is a nice example of this prominent World War I British fighter ace and racing pilot.
