Description: Roseville Ohio Art Pottery Carnelian II Vase Dripped Matte Glaze Antique 1920s Description and Item Information Up for sale is this gorgeous, antique Roseville art pottery vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This piece is from the Carnelian II line. It has flowing, dripped, thick, textured matte glazes. This piece stands approximately 6 1/8 inches tall, and it is about 3 3/4 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. This pot weighs 1 pound 5.6 ounces, unpacked. Excess glaze was ground from the base at the factory. This would look great displayed with other American art pottery. Identification This unmarked vase is Roseville pottery from the Carnelian II line. It is antique, circa 1920s, and the exact age is not known. Condition This piece looks good overall, with light wear. To the bottom side edge, there is a small (about 3/16 inch by 1/8 inch) glaze chip, with a 1/4 inch long, fine hairline in the unglazed clay foot. This area is visible in Photo 4, at approximately the 3 o'clock position on the bottom of the vase. The interior is soiled from used. Variations in glaze application are as made.
