Description: *PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY SPECIAL REQUESTS* $10 1915 Federal Reserve Kansas USA Description of the note this reproduction replicates: Fr. 817b $10 1915 Federal Reserve Bank Note. In November of this year, Chad Hawk, a grader at PMG, discovered a previously unknown Federal Reserve Bank Note variety. A note that had been submitted for grading that was discovered to be hand-signed by the Kansas City officials. To this point, the note was known only with engraved signatures, and rubber-stamped signatures, but neither this Kansas City Ten, nor any other 1915 Federal Reserve Bank Note was known with actual penned signatures. This note, which PMG has graded as Choice About Uncirculated 58 along with their Exceptional Paper Quality comment, has the signatures of Cross and Miller distinctly and stylishly pen signed. According to a PMG press release, the previously known varieties were Fr. 817, which has the signatures of these same two officials engraved on the plate, and Fr. 817a, where the signatures were rubber stamped. Other minor varieties exist (such as the stamped signatures in red), and Fr. 817's and Fr. 817a's have always been confusing--not so with this note. There is no possibility of missing the very distinct hand-executed signatures. Whether the note remains unique, or whether another will be discovered now that collector's will be re-examining their holdings, remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, this discovery note will always remain an extraordinarily rare variety. The next edition of the Friedberg catalog will be listing this 817b--making this note a requirement for a complete Large Size Federal Reserve Bank Note set.
