The folio, often referred to as The Dante Folio was published in 1979 as an edition of 110 by Talfourn Press, London on BFK Rives heavy wove paper with deckled edges.Super image composed of lines of small heads with different expressions.1263 Heads – I had not known death had undone so many….The title alludes to lines in Dante’s Inferno, where the poet observes a procession of souls damned to hell. In the 2015 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition he has a whole room dedicated to his A Humument works.He taught at the famous Bath Academy of Art, Ipswich and Wolverhampton Art College between 1965 and 1972 and was appointed a Member of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers and Engravers in 1987.
