Description: This is a very rare advertising match safe from the 1880s. It reads "Patent Aug. 14. 83 Lone Star Brewing Co. San Antonio, Tex." It is marked on both sides. It opens in an unusual style where both sides of the top are hinged and come down. Made of nickel-plated brass. Very nice condition. Measures 3.25" tall x 1.5" wide. Very hard to find.
