Description: Crystal Glass Co. was in operation in Pittsburgh, PA from 1869-1890. The original pattern for their pieces with the scalloped rim was called “Pattern with scalloped rim”, but then one of their designers, Daniel Bennett added the ribbing to the design. This design was then patented on July 14, 1874 under Patent No. D7551 and was called “Bennett’s Prisms”. There is a page in the pictures that provide this information from an EAPG Reference book. The design of this dish is shown in illustration number 13. The dish measures 9” long x 6” wide x 2 1/2” high. Could have been used as a vegetable dish or possibly a candy dish. It is in very good condition and was a great estate find! Shipped using USPS PriorityMail
