Description: Rare Fauvist School Oil Painting (Braque Lehman Collection--Met) 16 x 12" 'House Behind Trees' This painting is virtually identical to the Georges Braque painting 'House Behind Trees' that is in the Robert Lehman Collection in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. That piece is slightly larger and signed by Braque. This piece has been in my collection for 30 years and before that was in a collection in NYC. I acquired this piece from the Michael Cohen Gallery in NYC. I have no other provenance on this piece. It is in perfect condition....the colors are vibrant and alive.
