Description: Rare, historic museum quality Confederate Civil War Army Blanket. Has issues due to age, use, fragility: holes that were mended in the past, dusty, some tiny holes - please zoom into photos put some markers in blue so you can see pinholes, etc., some wear spots as it was previoulsy used. The binding on each edge is old period Victorian red damask.fabric that can be removed. MD letters in ink in corner of blanket. Original government issue. The US in center of blanket the threads are gone but put the blanket up against a light or window against the light of day and you can easily see where the US was originally. Measurement sizes vary: - can be longer as there is foldover at each end. Here's some measurements: 8 3/4" foldover at top to band of blanket and bottom 9" foldover to band on bottom of blanket. 89" long, 58 1/2" wide. 2 5/8" band on blanket.
