Description: This offering is for a 2002 baseball card set produced by THE STATE newspaper in Columbia, SC. The set was featured as part of a College World Series newspaper supplement and featured the 2 South Carolina teams that were headed to Omaha. The outer wrapper is a slightly heavier paper than the standard newsprint featured inside. There is some age toning visible on the front but not as dark on the cards which were inside the fold. The cards are featured on the reverse of the supplement. The supplement measures approx. 12 1/2 x 22 and the set features many players who are recognizable to both schools.
