Description: Rare 1944 Bild-A-Set Thunderbolt Flying Model Airplane #101 36" Wingspan Kit. **90 years old** I have seen very few of these. This is a large model and large box. The box is in fair to poor condition. The top is fair, the bottom is brittle and falling apart. You will likely lose small parts of it taking it out of the packing. I would recommend supporting it in the middle rather than holding it on either end. The rest of the contents except for paper items are in decent shape for their age. The kit looks nearly complete. It may be missing some things that are actually put together from the balsa sheets. I cannot confirm that - only guessing from looking at the plans. Includes tissue covering, window plastic, folded directions (poor condition but useable). "decals" to be pasted on model when complete. One thick piece is bowed or curved as shown, and another has tape on the back to prevent the pieces from coming out of their places. Tape appears to be recent and not fused to the balsa. Please review the photos and description very carefully. I believe they are a fair representation of the condition of the kit. If you are not sure, please do not purchase. I do not want either of us to be disappointed. It looks buildable but it is a 90 year old kit. So to be clear, this is being sold as a collectable or for parts, as I do not know it's history or completeness. Thanks for looking and taking the time to read the description.
