Description: This rare 1930s German “Turkenwacht" hinged tobacco tin is in good condition with some superficial interior rust, a couple of small dent sand some minor age related paint scratches and chips. The hinge is in excellent working condition. This very attractive red and gold tin features a detailed image of a Turkish man smoking a pipe who is dressed in a white robe and turban, seated crosslegged holding a sword on his lap. A Turkish palace is seen in the background. The tobacco was manufactured by Heller Feinschniff, Bunde, Germany.
